Good reminder that not everything Google does turns to gold: since its launch last month, Google News' comments feature has only posted 100 comments.

Hard to imagine only 100 people have tried to comment on news stories on Google. But Google says it will only post comments that its staff physically reviews and approves. Here's a link to the comments that have been posted so far.
Not sure where this is going, but for now, it seems to be going nowhere.
Isn't something like this more powerful if it's used sparingly? Quality over quantity?
ReplyDeleteThe lack of automation and "big numbers" for this project are very anti-Google, in a way, but I'm in no way disappointed by this service -- yet.
