Sorry about going 'dark' for a couple of weeks -- I've been on vacation with my family.
I thought about posting a "Gone Fishin' " sign on the blog, but I had misgivings. After all, a blog post is, at its essence, a new page of the World Wide Web. Did I really want to announce to the world that I would be out of town for a week+? It struck me that I might as well just put a sign on my lawn saying: "Attention: Oakland Burglars: Greer family away on vacation."
Anyway, I consider it a learning experience about the blog business -- the world expects you to be up and running 24/7/365, but we all have lives and still have some need for privacy.
