Of course, there's always a bevy of items out there on how PR should work with bloggers. Here's a brief rundown of some recent things:
Vocus has issued a white paper, 5 Golden Rules for Blogger PR: I'd say these are fairly self-evident: customize, participate in the blogosphere yourself, 'bring something to the party,' be honest and develop long-term relationships. With the exception of participation (easier said than done in any case), these are all the same rules for getting attention from traditional journalists as well.
Sally Falkow then dings Vocus for not practicing what they are preaching.
Jeneane Sessum has posted a pretty thorough quiz to test your knowledge of blogging, as a lithmus test for people who want to pitch blogs. In my opinion, you don't need to know all the answers to be a credible pitcher, but it would help if you weren't clueless.
