Assignment Zero: Pro-Am Journalism

I'll be following the trend of "volunteers" doing journalism as this blog matures, but for now I just wanted to post a link to Assignment Zero, an experiment in "pro-am journalism." It's a fascinating experiment in using a small team of paid editors and an infinite number of volunteers to do research and, essentially, journalism. I recommend you check it out: it's a window into the future.

Media relations analysis: knowing what you want to say and who will be doing the asking is still essential. If you have good information to share, and know how to pass it along in a media-friendly package, it doesn't really matter who's asking the questions.
